Care & Maintenance
Upholstery:
Vacuum regularly using a soft brush attachment. Spot-clean with mild detergent and lukewarm water. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth – do not rub. Do not bleach, machine-wash, tumble-dry or iron. Professional upholstery cleaning only. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Natural fur & wool:
Gently shake or lightly brush with a soft-bristle brush to maintain the natural pile. Air the piece occasionally in a shaded, ventilated area to refresh the fibres. For deeper cleaning, use a specialist experienced in natural sheepskin or fur upholstery. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not bleach, wash, tumble dry or iron. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Leather:
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, detergents and harsh cleaners. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals. Apply a leather conditioner suitable for aniline leathers sparingly and only when needed. Protect from direct sunlight or strong artificial light to minimise fading or discolouration. Natural variations, minor scratches and patina development are characteristics of genuine leather and part of its natural ageing.
Timber (solid & veneered):
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap solution, wiping along the grain. Avoid excessive moisture. Position away from direct sunlight or use window coverings to reduce fading and movement. Maintain a stable environment to minimise warping or cracking. Blot spills immediately. Use coasters, placemats and felt pads to prevent heat, spill and abrasion damage. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
Stainless Steel:
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap solution, wiping in the direction of the grain. Avoid excessive moisture. Blot spills immediately. Use coasters, placemats and felt pads to protect surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
Lacquered:
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap solution. Avoid excessive moisture. Blot spills immediately. Use coasters, placemats and felt pads to prevent heat, spill and scratch damage. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
Glass:
Use a glass-safe cleaner and soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads. Do not place hot items directly on the surface. Use coasters, placemats and felt pads to prevent heat, spill and scratch damage.
Resin:
Intended for display and light use. Not suitable for food or liquids. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat may cause discolouration. Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Resin can be delicate - avoid dropping or knocking against hard surfaces. To preserve the finish, store away from humidity and temperature extremes.
Warranty may be voided if improper cleaning or maintenance causes damage. Natural materials such as timber, leather and wool contain inherent variations in colour, grain, texture and tone. These are natural characteristics and not considered defects. Our ranges are not suitable for outdoor use unless stated.
Products specified for commercial or high-traffic environments are assessed on a project basis. Due to the varied nature of commercial use, standard residential warranty terms do not apply.
